
CHILLICOTHE — The Chillicothe Police Department handled 18 incidents Friday, ranging from disorderly conduct and vandalism to theft reports and warrant pickups, according to the department’s daily media log.
Early-Morning Disorderly and Warrant Calls
At 12:11 a.m., officers responded to South Walnut Street for a disorderly conduct complaint at an apartment in Tiffin Towers. A few hours later, at 2:38 a.m., officers met with deputies near the Pickaway County line regarding a subject wanted on an active warrant.
At 4:43 a.m., police were dispatched to the BP station on North Bridge Street for a welfare check that led to an investigation involving obstructing official business and a warrant.
Morning Complaints: Trespassing, Theft, and Vandalism
- Around 8:27 a.m., officers responded to a trespassing-related complaint in the E. Water Street municipal parking lot.
- At 9:55 a.m., a theft was reported at the Law Enforcement Complex (LEC) lobby.
- A juvenile-related non-criminal welfare check occurred at 10:30 a.m. at Tiffin Towers.
- Minutes later, at 10:42 a.m., detectives opened a separate juvenile investigation following a school resource officer’s report.
- At 10:44 a.m., officers were dispatched to E. 4th Street on a vandalism complaint.
Midday Incidents Continue
- Police received a call at 12:48 p.m. for a domestic-related disorderly complaint on South Renick Avenue.
- At 1:00 p.m., found property was turned in at the LEC.
- One minute later, officers handled a criminal mischief complaint on Prospect Street.
Traffic Stops and Domestic Violence Case
At 5:58 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop near Water and Bridge Streets for fictitious plates, issuing a citation.

A domestic violence incident was reported at 6:16 p.m. at Tiffin Towers on S. Walnut Street, with an investigation underway.
Minutes later, at 7:15 p.m., officers initiated another traffic stop in the Water and Walnut area for expired registration.
Evening Reports: Walmart Theft, Fighting, and Disturbances
- At 7:28 p.m., police responded to Walmart for a criminal trespass and shoplifting complaint.
- At 7:52 p.m., a disorderly conduct involving fighting or threats was reported on N. Rose Street.
- Officers made citizen contact during a non-criminal call at 9:49 p.m.
- At 10:08 p.m., police were dispatched to Crosskeys Tavern on E. Main Street for a disturbance.
