Chillicothe Police Respond to Variety of Incidents, Including Assault, Thefts, and Hit-Skip Accidents

CHILLICOTHE, OH — Chillicothe Police officers responded to a range of calls throughout the city on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, according to the department’s daily media report. Incidents included thefts, disorderly conduct, hit-skip crashes, and a stabbing under investigation.

Domestic Dispute on Carlisle Place
Around 3:02 a.m., officers were dispatched to Carlisle Place after a report of a possible domestic disturbance. Two individuals told police the altercation was verbal only, and no injuries were observed. One party voluntarily left the residence.

Traffic and Non-Criminal Cases
Several traffic stops were conducted throughout the morning, including on West Fifth Street and Bowman Road. Officers also assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol in obtaining bank surveillance footage related to a separate case.

Thefts Reported at Local Businesses
Multiple theft complaints were reported Tuesday, including incidents at the Salvation Army Thrift Store on North Bridge Street and Walmart on River Trace Lane. Officers also responded to reports of shoplifting at Dick’s Sporting Goods and Walmart later that evening. All theft investigations remain ongoing.

Forgery and Criminal Simulation
Police took a report of a possible forgery case at the Law Enforcement Complex on North Paint Street and a criminal simulation complaint at Family Dollar on North Bridge Street. Both cases are under investigation.

Disorderly Conduct and Harassment Reports
Officers handled several disorderly conduct calls throughout the day, including incidents at Sherman Park and Consumer Center Drive. Telecommunications harassment was also reported on South Mulberry Street.

Missing Child and Stalking Complaint
Police were called to East Fourth Street after a child was reported missing. Later in the day, a separate report of menacing by stalking was filed at the Law Enforcement Complex. Both cases remain open.

Hit-Skip and Trespassing Incidents
Officers investigated multiple hit-skip accidents, including one at Planet Fitness on North Bridge Street and another at the BMV Driver Exam Station on Western Avenue. Trespassing complaints were also reported on East Fourth Street and North Bridge Street.

Felonious Assault on Burbridge Street
One of the more serious incidents occurred at 182 Burbridge Street around 6:02 p.m., where officers responded to a reported stabbing. Police said the investigation is ongoing.

Warrant Arrest and Non-Suspicious Death
Later that evening, officers arrested Andrew McCutcheon on an active warrant for probation violation related to trespassing. He was taken to the Ross County Jail pending a court appearance.
Police also responded to Dolphin Street for a report of a non-breather, which was classified as a non-suspicious death. The investigation continues.

In total, officers responded to 24 separate incidents throughout the city on November 4.
