Circleville Police Handle Dozens of Calls Including Theft, Threats, and Warrant Arrest Monday

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Circleville Police were kept active on Monday, November 3, responding to more than 30 calls ranging from thefts and disturbances to a warrant arrest, according to the department’s daily call summary.

The day began shortly after midnight with multiple extra patrols across the city, including North Court Street, East Franklin Street, and East Circle Lane, all of which checked okay. Around 12:45 a.m., officers took a property damage report on Second Avenue, followed by a disturbance call on South Pickaway Street just after 2:30 a.m. However, officers were unable to locate anyone involved.

By early morning, police had taken a theft report on Griner Avenue and a found property report on Lancaster Pike. A breaking and entering case was also reported on Logan Street around 9:17 a.m.

Later in the day, officers handled several probation complaints on East Union Street and Renick Avenue, along with multiple 911 hang-up calls that checked okay.

Around 1:30 p.m., crews responded to Swackhamer Road for a vehicle fire, with the Circleville Fire Department providing mutual aid. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

A stolen vehicle was reported on Meadow Drive that afternoon, and later, a theft on North Pickaway Street and a threats/harassment report on Pontious Lane both resulted in police reports being taken. Another threats call on U.S. 23 did not require a report.

The evening ended with a domestic trouble call on South Court Street, a traffic stop that resulted in a warning, and a warrant arrest on South Washington Street just after 9:30 p.m.

In total, the department logged 33 calls for service throughout the day, covering a wide range of routine patrols, investigations, and community safety checks.
