
CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department handled more than 40 incidents throughout Thursday, October 23, 2025, ranging from extra patrols and traffic stops to reports of theft, fraud, and a late-night structure fire.
According to police logs, officers were busy across the city in the early morning hours conducting multiple extra patrols on Court Street, John Street, and Clark Drive, all of which checked okay. Around 1:53 a.m., officers and medics responded to a disturbance on Clark Drive, where one person was transported to the hospital.
Later in the morning, officers handled several civil process attempts at various addresses, though many individuals were gone on arrival or unable to be located. A suspicious vehicle was also reported on Nicholas Drive, but no report was taken.
At 9:23 a.m., police responded to East Franklin Street for a report of a homeless person, though that individual was not located. Another call regarding a homeless person on Morris Road later that afternoon did result in a report being taken.
The department also investigated several traffic-related incidents throughout the day, including multiple traffic stops that resulted in warnings and citations.
In the afternoon, officers were called to U.S. 23 for a theft in progress, where a report was taken. Shortly afterward, another report was filed for fraud on East Franklin Street.
Evening calls included a found property case on East Franklin Street, an animal complaint on North Pickaway Street, and several alarm drops across the city — all of which were checked and found to be secure.
The final notable call of the day came just before midnight, when emergency crews responded to a structure fire on East Franklin Street. The fire was reported contained and under control.
No major injuries were reported in any of Thursday’s incidents. The Circleville Police Department continues to monitor local neighborhoods with increased patrols and community response.
