
CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department handled 13 incidents on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, according to the department’s daily media report.
The day began shortly after midnight with a theft report on South Hickory Street. Officers took a report and noted that the investigation remains ongoing.
During the morning hours, officers conducted traffic stops on Delano at Allen Avenue and on Safford near Caroline Drive, both for driving while texting violations. Later in the morning, police responded to a crash report on University Drive and conducted a welfare check on East Fourth Street, where officers also located a subject wanted on a warrant.
In the afternoon, officers were dispatched to America’s Best Value Inn on East Main Street for a drug complaint, and to a residence on University Drive regarding an assault, which was classified as a non-criminal incident pending further investigation.
Police also responded to S. Pohlman Road for a criminal trespassing report, as well as to East Main Street for a case of telecommunications harassment involving anonymous and harassing messages. Both cases remain under investigation.
Later that evening, officers investigated another criminal trespass on Jefferson Avenue and handled a traffic crash on Safford Avenue involving a failure to yield at a stop sign.
The final call of the night came around 11:20 p.m. on East Fourth Street, where officers conducted a welfare check on a juvenile.
No major injuries or arrests were reported in connection with Wednesday’s incidents.
