Chillicothe Police Respond to Series of Incidents Including Thefts and Hit-Skip on October 13

CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department released its daily media report for Monday, October 13, 2025, detailing a range of incidents officers responded to throughout the city.

Shortly after midnight, officers were dispatched to Adena Regional Medical Center in reference to a hit-skip crash. Around the same time, a traffic stop on North Bridge Street resulted in a citation for driving under suspension.

At 1:17 a.m., police were called to Sherman Park for a disturbance involving disorderly conduct. Later in the morning, officers responded to 1020 E. Main Street for a shoplifting complaint, with the investigation still ongoing.

In the afternoon, police were called to Plyleys Lane for an unruly juvenile report, followed by a theft complaint on Burbridge Street. Officers returned to Sherman Park around 4:19 p.m. for another disorderly conduct incident involving juveniles. A criminal charge is expected to be referred to Ross County Juvenile Court.

Later that evening, officers responded to Adena Regional Medical Center for a child endangerment investigation, which remains under review. Additional reports included the theft of vehicle parts on North Watt Street, another theft complaint at Dick’s Sporting Goods on East Main Street, and a criminal trespass case on East Eighth Street.

The most serious call came at approximately 9:13 p.m., when officers were dispatched to 804 Eastern Avenue in reference to a possible sexual assault. Police say the investigation is ongoing.

In total, the department logged 13 reports for the day.
