CIRCLEVILLE, OH – It’s almost showtime in Circleville as preparations are underway for the 2025 Circleville Pumpkin Show, affectionately known as “The Greatest Free Show on Earth.”

Downtown streets will officially close Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. — four days before the show begins — to allow crews and vendors to begin setting up tents, food stands, rides, and displays. The early closure helps ensure a smooth and safe setup for the massive event, which draws tens of thousands of visitors each year.

The Pumpkin Show will kick off Wednesday morning with the Great Pumpkin Weigh-In and Opening Ceremonies, marking the start of several days filled with parades, contests, entertainment, and, of course, plenty of pumpkin-themed treats.

Residents and visitors can visit pumpkinshow.com for official updates, schedules, and announcements. The website also features a live webcam for those who want to watch downtown Circleville transform throughout the weekend.

City officials also remind residents that Circleville City Offices will be closed Monday in observance of Columbus Day.

With excitement building across Pickaway County, the countdown is on to one of Ohio’s most beloved fall traditions.
