
CIRCLEVILLE – Circleville Police officers responded to 30 calls for service on Thursday, October 2, ranging from routine patrols to thefts, domestic disputes, and a late-night burglary.
The day began with several extra patrols on North Court Street, West Main Street, and surrounding areas. Around 3:45 a.m., officers investigated a suspicious person report on Shadwell Drive, which was turned over to another agency. Minutes later, police were called to Pontious Lane for suspicious circumstances, but no one was located.
At 5:54 a.m., officers made an arrest in connection with a reported theft on Second Avenue. Later in the morning, police responded to an injury accident and 911 hang-up on North Court Street, where a citation was issued. Additional reports included a domestic dispute on East Ohio Street at 9:31 a.m., followed by property damage at the same location. Another domestic incident was reported on Dunmore Road at 10:48 a.m.
Throughout the afternoon, police handled a traffic stop on North Court Street that resulted in an arrest, investigated a non-injury crash on U.S. Route 23, and took reports of fraud on West Union Street and parking violations downtown. Officers also responded to multiple complaints of neighbor disputes, fraud, and juvenile issues.
In the evening, Circleville officers served paperwork on East Franklin Street and investigated a property damage case on North Court Street around 7 p.m. The most serious call of the day came at 11:35 p.m., when police were dispatched to East Ohio Street for a reported burglary. A report was taken, and the incident remains under investigation.
Police wrapped up the night with an extra patrol on West Main Street just before midnight.
