CHILLICOTHE — Chillicothe Police were kept busy Sunday, September 28, 2025, with multiple calls ranging from assaults and vandalism to drug-related offenses and traffic violations, according to the department’s daily media log.

The first incident was reported just after midnight at the BP gas station on Safford Avenue, where officers responded to a disorderly situation that resulted in an assault investigation.

Later in the morning, a string of vandalism and theft calls came in from the city’s north side. Officers responded to the Christopher Inn, Hampton Inn, and Fairfield Inn on North Plaza Boulevard, where multiple cases of criminal mischief and theft were reported. Additional vandalism complaints were also taken on North Walnut Street. All of these cases remain under investigation.

At 2:45 p.m., officers were called to the area of North Rose Street on a report of a domestic-related disorderly conduct. Just minutes later, police were dispatched to Washington Avenue for a reported burglary in progress. That call led to charges of drug paraphernalia possession and criminal damaging/endangering.

Traffic enforcement also took place on East Water Street, where a driver was cited for expired registration.

Later that evening, a woman contacted police at the Law Enforcement Complex regarding a domestic dispute at Carlisle Place. The report also included a probation violation.

The day closed with another disorderly conduct report on Harvestwood Drive.

Chillicothe Police say many of the incidents remain under active investigation.
