SOUTH BLOOMFIELD, Ohio — Mayor Aaron Thomas says he’s hoping to catch Chick-fil-A’s attention as the popular fast-food chain prepares to expand in Ohio.
In a letter sent this week, Thomas pitched South Bloomfield as a prime location for a new Chick-fil-A restaurant, citing the village’s growth, available land along U.S. Route 23, and increasing demand from residents for more dining options.
“The number one thing I hear from folks is that we want more restaurants and a grocery store,” Thomas said. “Every time I see a company announcing expansion, I send emails like this. Hearing from the public makes a difference, too.”
In the email to Chick-fil-A’s development team, Thomas highlighted South Bloomfield’s rapid growth, projected city status by 2030, and the momentum of new businesses already moving in, including Taco Bell, a car wash, and AutoZone. He also noted the potential customer base from nearby Ashville and the broader growth in Pickaway County.
Thomas encouraged residents to voice their support as well, saying community interest could help persuade the chain to take a closer look at northern Pickaway County.
Chick-fil-A recently announced plans to open more than 30 new locations across Ohio, though no official word has been given on whether South Bloomfield is under consideration.
