Circleville Police Respond to Busy Weekend of Incidents, Including Burglary, Domestic Disputes, and Traffic Issues

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Circleville Police Department handled a wide range of incidents over the weekend of August 22-24, 2025, with reports of burglary, domestic disputes, traffic violations, and more, according to a recently released call log.

On August 22, police responded to a burglary in progress on Pontious Lane at 1:19 a.m., though no report was taken. Later that morning at 9:35 a.m., a burglary on Town Street prompted a formal report. At 11:16 a.m., a non-injury accident on Glenmont Drive also required a report. The day saw multiple extra patrols across North Court Street, Morris Road, and other areas, all checking out as okay, alongside a traffic stop on East Mound Street at 12:45 a.m. that resulted in a warning.

The evening brought a threats/harassment complaint on South Court Street at 5:58 p.m., followed by a domestic trouble call on Plaza Drive at 10:01 p.m., which was handled with advisement. A second domestic trouble incident on South Court Street at 12:49 a.m. on August 23 led to a report.

On August 23, police activity intensified with a violation of a protection order on Avon Drive at 2:31 p.m., resulting in a report, and another on Watt Street at 5:59 p.m., leading to an arrest. Traffic-related incidents included a citation issued during a stop on Lancaster Pike at 5:09 p.m. and a theft reported on US 23 South at 5:51 p.m. Juvenile complaints on East Ohio Street and Pinckney Street went unresolved as officers were unable to locate the involved parties.

August 24 saw a reported overdose on Barnes Avenue at 1:31 p.m., requiring a report, and a disturbance on South Court Street at 9:45 p.m. that led to an arrest. A domestic trouble call on East Mill Street at 5:45 p.m. and a fight on South Court Street at 9:28 p.m. also prompted reports. Routine patrols continued across North Court Street, Morris Road, and US Route 23, with most checks clearing without issue.

Other incidents included well-being checks, 911 hang-ups, and trespassing complaints, many of which were resolved without reports or with individuals gone on arrival. The department also handled a vehicle repossession on Ridgewood Drive and a property release on East Franklin Street.

The Circleville Police Department’s call log reflects a busy weekend addressing community safety concerns, with officers responding to 121 incidents over the three days. Investigations into reported crimes are ongoing, and residents are encouraged to contact the department with any additional information.
