
Circleville police responded to more than 130 incidents between Friday night, August 8, and Sunday night, August 10, ranging from fights and domestic disputes to multiple juvenile complaints and welfare checks.
The weekend began with a reported fight on South Washington Street shortly after midnight Friday, followed by several domestic trouble calls on South Court, Riverview Road, and East Main Street. Officers also handled reports of intoxicated individuals, numerous extra patrol requests, and a series of juvenile-related disturbances on Bolens Avenue, Sunshine Street, and Renick Avenue.
Traffic enforcement was active, with multiple stops resulting in citations and warnings. One traffic stop on South Pickaway Street Friday morning led to a citation, while non-injury accidents on North Court Street and East Main Street also resulted in citations.
Other calls included trespassing reports on Nicholas Drive, East Franklin Street, and Villa Drive; vandalism on East Franklin Street; threats and harassment on South Scioto Street; and assaults on North Court Street and North Pickaway Street.
Fire-related incidents were also noted Saturday evening on Nicholas Drive, where crews responded to multiple calls in a short span of time. Circleville police also assisted with a mutual aid fire call on State Route 762 late Sunday night.
Several well-being checks were conducted throughout the weekend, with most cases checked okay or cleared upon arrival. Suspicious person and vehicle calls were investigated but often yielded no findings.
By the close of Sunday night, police had documented a total of 132 calls for service, continuing what has been a steady pace of activity in the city.
