
Ross County — The Grand Jury met on Friday, June 6th, 2025, with three cases open for release to the public. From testimony in the the grand jury in one of the cases, according to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office:
On April 5th, Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Malone Road near Massieville on a protection order violation. The victim said her ex-boyfriend had come onto her porch and started screaming and yelling at her.
The victim had protection order against 39-year-old David M. Stemen of Belleview Avenue in Chillicothe through July 16th.
Her current boyfriend said he came out, and Stemen tried to fight him. Stemen had left by the time deputies arrived…but returned shortly after time deputies left, and then left again.
For an indictment on fifth-degree felony violation of a protection order, Stemen could get up to a year and a $2,500 fines.
