Circleville Police Handle Range of Incidents Over Holiday Weekend

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio – July 7, 2025

Circleville police were busy over the holiday weekend, responding to a variety of incidents from July 2 to July 6, 2025, as detailed in a recent police report. The department addressed 166 calls, ranging from routine patrols to serious crimes, with several notable cases resolved through reports, arrests, and citations.

The weekend began with extra patrols on N Court St and Logan St on July 2, both checked out as okay. That same day, a vandalism report on N Court St was resolved, and a non-injury accident on Cedar Hts Rd resulted in a citation issued. A domestic trouble call on Gumm Pl led to a report being taken, while a suspicious person on E Franklin St was handled with advice given to the individual.

Traffic stops and accidents continued throughout the period, with citations issued on S Court St and E Mill St, and warnings on E Ohio St and US 23. Two non-injury accidents were reported, including a hit-and-skip on W Main St Apt 4 on July 3. An injury accident on US 23 was cancelled before officers arrived.

Serious incidents included a warrant arrest on S Hight St on July 2 and multiple domestic trouble reports, such as those on Gumm Pl, W Mound St, and US 23. Theft reports were filed on S Scioto St and E Ohio St, while vandalism incidents on Faye Ave and N Court St also prompted investigations. A burglary in progress on S Court St on July 6 led to a report being taken.

Fire and EMS responses included mutual aid requests on Ringgold Northern Rd and Oak Mnr, with several alarm drops checked okay across various locations. Suspicious vehicle and person calls were frequent, though many resulted in no reports or officers unable to locate individuals, such as a drunk driver on N Court St on July 4.
