Curt Radabaugh as George Washington

Chillicothe — The ‘father of our nation’ had a chat with fans of all ages last night. Re-enactor Curt Radabaugh brought George Washington to life to an audience in the Ross County Heritage Center.

After about an hour of explaining Washington’s life and career, Radabaugh entertained about another half hour of questions.

Radabaugh says he was born and raised in Ohio, but currently lives in Pennsylvania, and travels widely to portray Washington. He also becomes Daniel Boone, General George Patton, O. Henry’s Christmas story “The Gift of the Magi,” as well as a pirate.

Interpreting is not a career for him, it’s a passionate hobby, says Radabaugh. His next public event will be at the Muskingum Historical Society in Zanesville. Hear him in his own words below.

He bills himself as “Experience George Washington,” and has a website and Facebook page.
