CHILLICOTHE, OH — Today, Adena Medical Center received a meaningful gift that will forever impact families facing the heartbreak of infant loss. A CuddleCot, a medical cooling device that gives grieving families more time to say goodbye to their babies, was donated in loving memory of Harbour Knoxx Peabody and Miles Moore.
This donation was made possible through a heartfelt collaboration between two dedicated organizations—The Harbour Knoxx Peabody Foundation and Miles’ Mission—united by personal loss and a shared mission to support bereaved families through compassionate care.
CuddleCots allow families more time with their babies, providing precious moments to hold, love, and begin the grieving process. “I was personally blessed with six sacred days with my son, Harbour,” said Elizabeth Peabody, founder of The Harbour Knoxx Peabody Foundation. “That time is something I will cherish for the rest of my life.”
The Foundation extended special thanks to Jamie Arledge, Director of Nursing, and the entire staff at Adena Medical Center for their openness and compassion in embracing this mission. The dedication ceremony was made even more memorable by the presence of dear friends from Montana who traveled to stand in solidarity with the families and their cause.
“Our goal is simple,” said Peabody. “We want every hospital to have access to a CuddleCot. No family should walk through loss without the gift of time.”
This marks the second CuddleCot donation from The Harbour Knoxx Peabody Foundation, which continues to expand its reach to hospitals across southern Ohio and beyond.
