
CIRCLEVILLE, OH — June 17, 2025
The Circleville Police Department responded to 47 calls for service on Monday, June 16, dealing with everything from traffic stops and extra patrols to domestic disturbances and suspicious activity across the city.
Here are some highlights from the day’s activity:
- Early Morning Warrant Activity: Between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m., officers executed several warrant-related calls on Logan Street, Island Road, and W. Main Street, with reports taken for multiple cases. A prowler report on Renick Avenue also resulted in a report being filed.
- Suspicious Persons & Patrols: Officers performed numerous extra patrols throughout the night and early morning, including areas such as Lewis Road, Town Street, Pinckney Street, Forestview Court, and Lynwood Avenue. Multiple suspicious person calls, including one on US 23, were investigated and cleared without issue.
- Trespassing and Property Damage: Trespassing was reported on both S. Court Street and US 23. Officers also responded to reports of property damage on Mowrer Road, with investigations underway.
- Traffic Stops & Citations: Several traffic stops were made throughout the day, most resulting in warnings. However, a parking citation was issued on Eastwood Drive. Police also investigated a vehicle lockout and a railroad crossing complaint on S. Scioto Street.
- Thefts and Vandalism: Theft was reported twice on E. Franklin Street and once on W. Franklin Street. Two cases of vandalism were documented on Atwater Avenue and N. Court Street.
- Domestic Incidents: Officers were called to domestic trouble scenes on Eva Drive, Mowrer Road, and Kingston Pike. One of these incidents resulted in a formal report being filed.
- Juvenile Complaints & Disturbances: Juvenile issues were reported on Dunmore Road and Circleville Plaza Drive. A disturbance call on N. Pickaway Street also resulted in a report.
- Medical and Emergency Response: The Circleville Fire Department was requested for mutual aid on US 23, where one person was transported to the hospital. Additionally, fire or EMS alarms were investigated on Clark Drive and Pontious Lane.
- Late Night Calls: A suspicious person was reported on E. Main Street shortly before midnight, and officers also responded to a utility-related call involving natural gas or electricity in the same area.
The department reported a steady flow of service calls throughout the day, ranging from routine checks to active investigations. Officers continue to monitor areas with recurring issues while maintaining high visibility throughout the community.
