HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A serious three-vehicle crash occurred on US-23 northbound near SR 762 in Pickaway County on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at approximately 6:49 p.m., resulting in injuries and the arrest of one driver for operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI).
According to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, the incident involved a 2019 Buick SUV driven by David A. Feyh, 66, of Columbus, a 2024 Honda SUV driven by Shawnee Cosby-Davis, 57, of Columbus, and a 2023 Ford F-150 driven by Pat Carroll, 62, of North Augusta, South Carolina. The crash took place on a straight, level section of the two-way road under clear weather and daylight conditions.
The sheriff’s report states that Feyh, operating the Buick, was observed driving erratically and making aggressive lane changes. Witnesses reported that Feyh lost control while attempting to change lanes in front of Cosby-Davis’s Honda, striking both her vehicle and Carroll’s Ford F-150. The impact caused the Buick and Honda to veer off the roadway, coming to rest in a cornfield with significant damage and airbag deployment. The Ford F-150 sustained substantial damage to its passenger side but remained on the shoulder.

Two drivers, Feyh and Cosby-Davis, sustained possible injuries and were transported to OhioHealth-Berger for treatment. Both were wearing safety belts, and airbags deployed in their vehicles. The Ford F-150 carried four occupants, none of whom reported injuries requiring immediate medical attention.
Following an investigation, deputies determined that Feyh was impaired at the time of the crash. He was arrested and charged with OVI under Ohio Revised Code 4511.19A1A. Alcohol was suspected as a contributing factor, with tests pending to confirm impairment levels. No other contributing circumstances, such as vehicle defects or road conditions, were noted in the report.
The crash occurred in a work zone area, specifically in the transition area of road work on the shoulder or median, but no workers or law enforcement were present at the time. The roadway was not closed, and the scene was cleared by 8:18 p.m. after approximately 89 minutes of investigation by Deputy Vanessa Emler, assisted by Deputy Christopher Hempstead.
All three vehicles were towed from the scene—Feyh’s Buick and Cosby-Davis’s Honda by Fletcher’s Towing, and Carroll’s Ford F-150 by Amnesty Towing. The investigation remains ongoing, with no additional charges reported at this time.
Authorities remind drivers to exercise caution, especially in work zones, and to refrain from driving under the influence to prevent such incidents. For further details, contact the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
