
CHILLICOTHE, OH – June 9, 2025
The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a series of incidents across the city on Sunday, June 8, ranging from thefts and warrants to juvenile-related complaints and a hit-skip crash, according to the department’s daily media report.
Early in the morning, around 2:21 a.m., officers were called to Route 50 Classic Car Wash on Western Avenue to assist the Ross County Sheriff’s Office with a non-criminal matter. Less than an hour later, at 3:03 a.m., police responded to a report of a missing juvenile on Scioto Avenue. That incident also involved a charge of obstructing official business.
Later that morning, officers handled another juvenile complaint on South Mulberry Street, followed by the issuance of a warrant summons on North Paint Street.
A traffic-related incident at the McDonald’s on North Bridge Street occurred at 10:53 a.m. when officers responded to a vehicle crash due to failure to obey traffic control devices. Later in the day, around 3:40 p.m., officers investigated a reported shoplifting at a business on North Bridge Street.

One of the more serious incidents occurred at Walmart on River Trace Lane at approximately 6:07 p.m., where officers responded to a reported theft. That call resulted in an arrest and included charges of robbery with a deadly weapon, criminal trespassing, and an outstanding warrant.
More warrant-related arrests took place later in the evening. Around 8:40 p.m., a suspect was apprehended on Hopetown Road, and at 8:45 p.m., another individual with a warrant was contacted at Little Caesars on North Bridge Street.
Telecommunications harassment was reported at Sherman Park around 9:06 p.m., leading officers to respond to a disturbance tied to a location on North Paint Street. Around 10:36 p.m., officers were called to The Wobbly Ghost on East Main Street for a case of criminal mischief, and shortly after, a theft report was filed on South Brownell Street.
The day concluded with a hit-skip accident on Arch Street just before midnight. Officers are continuing the investigation into the crash.
In total, Chillicothe Police responded to 13 separate incidents throughout the day. Investigations remain ongoing in several cases, and the department encourages anyone with information related to these events to contact them directly.
