CIRCLEVILLE, OH – Circleville Police responded to a wide range of incidents on Thursday, May 8, 2025, logging a total of 33 calls for service throughout the day and night. Reports ranged from routine traffic stops to more serious incidents involving found narcotics and a hit-skip crash.

The day began shortly after midnight with a mutual aid fire response on Winchester-Southern Road, followed by multiple traffic stops across the city that resulted in warnings or citations. One of the more significant early morning events occurred at 5:19 a.m. on South Court Street, where officers recovered found property that included narcotics, prompting an official report.

Shortly after 1 a.m., a hit-skip accident occurred on West Main Street, and a report was taken. Another motor vehicle crash with injuries took place around 2:48 p.m. on Tarlton Road, where a victim was transported to the hospital by emergency medical services.

Several suspicious vehicle and person calls were logged, including an incident on Morris Road just before 2 a.m., where a warrant was issued following the stop. Other suspicious activity was reported on North Pickaway Street, East Mound Street, and US 23, though most were resolved without incident.

The department also handled multiple well-being checks, neighbor disputes, alarm drops, civil process service, and 911 hang-up calls throughout the day. In a few cases, such as a juvenile complaint on Edgewood Drive and a suspicious person report on North Court Street, officers responded but were unable to locate any individuals.

In the afternoon, officers issued a citation following a non-injury crash on East Main Street and also responded to a miscellaneous neighbor complaint on Walnut Street, which led to an official report.

No major injuries or arrests were reported aside from the narcotics case, though several incidents remain under investigation.
