
CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department responded to a total of 34 calls for service on Thursday, May 1, 2025, addressing a range of incidents across the city including warrants, well-being checks, traffic stops, and reports of suspicious activity.
Among the most notable events of the day:
- Multiple Warrant Checks: Officers responded to at least six reports involving individuals with outstanding warrants. In each case — including locations on Maplewood Avenue, US 23, Clinton Street, Town Street, and Alma Avenue — the subjects were gone on arrival or unable to be located.
- Suspicious Activity: Several calls involved suspicious persons or circumstances, including incidents on South Court Street, Fairview Boulevard, and East Main Street. Most resulted in no report being filed, though one case on East Main Street did yield additional information.
- Traffic Enforcement: Officers conducted multiple traffic stops throughout the day, issuing several warnings and at least one citation on North Court Street.
- Well-Being Checks: Police were dispatched to at least five separate locations for well-being checks, including South Court Street and Villa Drive. Most individuals were found to be okay, though one case on South Court Street led to a report being filed.
- Non-Injury Accidents: Officers handled two non-injury accidents, one on Mulberry Road and another on US 23. Reports were taken in both incidents.
- Theft and Trespassing: A theft report was taken on Willow Lane, and two separate trespassing complaints were logged — one of which led to a report being filed on Nicholas Court.
- Fraud and Property Damage: A fraud complaint on South Court Street and a property damage report on Logan Street also required officer intervention.
Additionally, officers responded to several 911 hang-ups, a juvenile complaint, an animal call, and a civil issue.
