
CHILLICOTHE, OH — May 2, 2025
Chillicothe Police responded to a wide range of incidents throughout the city on May 1, with a total of 28 reports documented, according to the department’s Daily Media Report.
Criminal Activity and Warrants:
Officers responded to several criminal trespass incidents, including at locations on North Bridge Street, East Main Street, and East Water Street. Multiple subjects were cited or removed from properties as investigations remain ongoing.
At least three individuals were taken into custody or cited in relation to outstanding warrants. One notable arrest occurred on East 8th Street where Cheyenne Trent was apprehended by State Trooper Justice for an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear related to Obstructing Official Business. She was later released with a court summons scheduled for May 2.
Violent and Domestic Incidents:
Police were dispatched to Poland Park on South Hickory Street for an alleged assault and theft. Earlier in the day, a domestic violence complaint was reported at an apartment on Fairway Avenue, and a menacing call was logged from Mechanic Street. Investigations into these incidents are ongoing.

Drug and Child Welfare Cases:
A drug trafficking investigation was initiated by detectives in the area of North Paint Street. Additionally, Chillicothe police were notified by Nationwide Children’s Hospital of a potential child endangerment case. Both cases are under further investigation.
Traffic Stops and Accidents:
Routine patrols led to traffic stops for issues including improper license plate lighting, failure to control, and driving under suspension. Officers also responded to several vehicle crashes on Hildegarten Street, North Bridge Street, and East Main Street.
Theft and Burglary Reports:
Multiple theft-related incidents were reported throughout the city. Walmart on River Trace Lane reported an in-progress shoplifting incident. Officers also responded to a burglary call on Linn Street and an alleged theft by deception.
Juvenile and Public Disturbance Calls:
Police dealt with an unruly juvenile at Sherman Park and responded to a disorderly conduct call on North Brownell Street involving a juvenile complaint. Disturbances were also noted near downtown businesses including the Wobbly Ghost and Speedway.
Non-Criminal and Assist Calls:
Other calls included non-criminal assistance for a woman at Speedway and a request to serve a warrant at the Law Enforcement Center.
Chillicothe Police continue to investigate these incidents, and no serious injuries were immediately reported.
