LANCASTER, OH (July 17, 2025) – A Fairfield County woman has been charged with engaging in a sexual relationship with a
15-year-old boy who worked for her at a local farm property, according to the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office.
Amanda Lee Spain, 36, of Lancaster, is facing two counts of Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor, both fourth-degree felonies under the Ohio Revised Code. The charges were filed in the Fairfield County Court of Common Pleas under case number 25 CR 319 and assigned to Judge Berens.
According to an affidavit filed by Detective Eriva Sylvia, the teen’s mother contacted the sheriff’s office on July 15 after discovering the alleged relationship. The teenager had been employed as a farm at Picture Perfect Ranch, a property Owned and operated by Spain on Rockmill Road NW in Lancaster.
The affidavit states that Spain allegedly provided the teen with a cellphone, registered to her, to communicate privately without his parents’ knowledge. Over time, the two reportedly developed a close relationship that escalated into repeated sexual encounters.
The teen told investigators the conduct occurred weekly over the course of several months, primarily when he and Spain were alone at her residence. The alleged incidents took place in various parts of the home, including her bedroom and the kitchen.
Detectives noted that the teen gave consistent and specific details about the encounters.
Based on the statements and supporting evidence, Spain, was arrested and charged with unlawful sexual contact with a minor.
Due to the nature of the charges and in accordance with Ohio law and media ethics, the identity of the minor is being withheld.
The investigation remains active.
