CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Emergency crews are on the scene at Ted Lewis Park after a 3-year-old child was struck by a vehicle late Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:15 p.m. at the popular local park, located off North Court Street. According to initial reports, first responders rushed to the scene immediately following the collision.

A medical helicopter was initially requested to transport the toddler due to the potential severity of the injuries. However, that airlift was canceled shortly after emergency personnel arrived at the scene and assessed the child.

The current medical condition of the toddler has not yet been released, and it remains unclear if the child was transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance.
