OHIO – At least a hundred Ohio sworn officers, and more officers from Nebraska and Missouri are heading to Minnesota to help assist in civil unrest with protest/riots in the area.

Unrest has been building in Minneapolis as Chauvin trials come to a end with a judgement looming.

Police have been working to control some of the violent unrest in the city as some protests have escalated into riots and clashed with local law enforcement.

The cities governor Tim Walz requested help from other states to send help to the downtown area as courts close on judgement.

A statement on Facebook of one Ohio officer who is answering that call, “tomorrow morning me and 99 of my brothers and sisters who wear the same uniform that I do will be going to Minneapolis to assist with riot/protest control. There’s a lot going on in this world, and it seems like all eyes are in Minneapolis at the moment. None of us know what exactly we’re getting ourselves into, but I’m sure whatever is thrown our way we’ll handle with professionalism like we do every other day.”
