The Teays Valley Educational Foundation recently awarded South Bloomfield Elementary School 2nd grade teacher Jaimee Farrar a $1,000 grant to purchase books to be used by the kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students.
“Every literacy teacher’s goal is to help children become lifelong readers. Having perfect fitting books for each student makes all the difference in reading engagement,” Farrar said. “This grant was used to purchase classroom library books to be used and shared by teachers at South Bloomfield Elementary School. Not only will the students in grades K-2 benefit from these books this year, but so will many students for years to come.”
