February 27

– A resident came to the police station to report a case of fraud. Officers determined it was a civil issue.

– An employee at Sutherlands on Lancaster Pike reported numerous returned checks from the same family all written on closed accounts totaling more than $1,400. A report was taken on bad checks/forgery.

– Officers were called to a property damage accident at South Washington and East Ohio streets. The parties called back to cancel, and they exchanged information due to minor damage.

– Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 200 block of South Pickaway Street. The male was advised to have no further contact, and any communication regarding the child would be done through a third party.

– A resident in the 400 block of Dearborn Avenue reported threats or harassment by known subjects. All parties were advised to have no further contact with each other.

– A resident reported a dog had been barking non-stop for about a month in the area of Edwards Road. Officers were unable to locate the animal.

– An employee at Be Driven Auto Sales on Huston Street reported an irate customer in the business refusing to leave. The customer left prior to the officer’s arrival.

– A resident in the 100 block of Walnut Street reported a stolen bicycle. Officers reported the caller was intoxicated and the bike was actually at the residence. No report was taken.

– The city’s canine unit was dispatched to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol on a traffic stop on U.S. Route 23 in front of the former Deercreek Auto Parts.

– A resident in the 1100 block of Camber Drive reported receiving a phone call from a foreign-sounding male asking about a computer she does not own. Extra patrol was requested.

– A resident requested a well-being check on a female who appeared disoriented walking around the parking lot at Dollar General on East Main Street. The female checked OK.

– An Ashville resident reported someone struck her vehicle in the 800 block of Atwater Avenue and left the scene. A report was taken on a property damage hit-skip.

– A resident in the 500 block of North Pickaway Street reported his son was getting out of control and tearing things up. The juvenile was advised of his behavior. No report was taken.

– A caller in the 100 block of Hayward Street reported the theft of a dryer he was working on. A report was taken.

– An officer traveled to the Pickaway County Jail to serve a warrant on Kaleb Lintz, who had turned himself in.

– An officer performed a traffic stop at South Pickaway and Town Street, where the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office arrived and made an arrest on a child support warrant.

– A Laurelville resident reported a vehicle backed into her vehicle in the parking lot at Zanzi’s on East Main Street. No report was taken. The drivers exchanged information.

February 28

– Officers responded to a disturbance with an intoxicated male at the Holiday Inn Express on U.S. Route 23 South. The male was transported to the Budget Host Inn. A caller from the Budget Host Inn then requested an officer because the same male was knocking on doors at the business. Officers advised he would be staying in a room with an acquaintance who agreed to care for him.

– An Amanda resident reported his truck was struck by another vehicle that left the scene while parked at the U.S. Post Office on South Court Street. A report was taken on a property damage hit-skip.

– A caller reported an elderly male wandering the area of Watt and North Pickaway streets who appeared disoriented. Officers were unable to locate.

– A resident in the 900 block of South Washington Street requested extra patrol due to her residence being broken into in the past.

– A resident in the 800 block of South Washington Street reported his wife had kicked him out of the house and refused to give him his property. The resident was brought back to the police station because no one was at the residence and he was locked out. He was advised of his options regarding the civil issue.

– Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 800 block of Kingston Court. Officers determined no assault had occurred. A report was taken.

– A resident came to the police station to file a report about a property damage accident that occurred the day before at East Ohio and South Washington streets.

– A caller reported a passenger in a green Kia threw a bag of trash through the broken rear window of the vehicle into the roadway in the 900 block of South Washington Street and left the scene. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle but disposed of the trash.

– A resident in the 1200 block of South Pickaway Street reported she gave a few of her friends a ride home, and they stole some items out of her purse. A report was taken on theft.

– A caller reported a child locked inside a vehicle on Remel Road. Fletcher’s Towing was requested to the scene, and the vehicle was unlocked.

– A resident in the 100 block of Gale Court reported her ex was giving her phone number to fellow inmates at the Correctional Reception Center at Orient, and they keep calling and harassing her. She was advised on the complaint process for the prison.

– A caller reported a vehicle hit a utility pole at East Mound Street and Eastmoor Avenue. No damage was done to the pole, and no injuries were reported. A report was taken and citation issued.

– A resident in the 300 block of East Franklin Street reported receiving unwanted phone calls from a known subject. The information was documented.

– An employee at Rooster’s on U.S. Route 23 requested extra patrol due to a suspicious person attempting to open car doors and get inside the rear employee entrance.

– A resident in the 300 block of East Mill Street reported she gave her boyfriend the keys to her car the night before to go to the gas station, and he had not returned. A report was taken on unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

– A caller reported several people involved in a fight in the area of Scioto and Mound streets. Another caller reported a male with a bloody face running northbound. Officers were unable to locate.

– A caller reported two people walking around inside Forest Cemetery with flashlights. Officers were unable to locate.

– The Circlville Fire Department was requested as mutual aid for a barn fire on Stoutsville Pike.

– A caller reported excessive water in the roadway on Lancaster Pike between Nicholas Drive and Stoutsville Pike. The water department advised they were aware of the leak and would be digging up the pipe Sunday morning to repair. Officers blocked off the area.

March 1

– The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office reported Jacob Conner had turned himself in at the jail on a case through the Circleville Police Department.

– A resident in the 100 block of East Franklin Street reported a male on her porch. Officers were unable to locate anyone in the area.

– A resident in the 100 block of South Scioto Street reported loud music coming from a basement apartment. The residents were advised of the complaint.

– A resident in the 200 block of Huston Street reported problems with neighbors and their dogs, resulting in two people being bitten. A report was taken on a dog bite.

– A resident in the 100 block of York Street reported he sold a vehicle to a subject last April, and the subject had never transferred the title and was still using his tags. A report was taken on a civil issue.

– A caller reported a male subject backed into his vehicle in the 400 block of Ruth Avenue and left the scene. A report was taken on a property damage hit-skip.

– An employee from Sutherlands reported a known subject left the store with a chainsaw without paying for it. Officers were unable to locate the male, and a report was taken on theft.

– A caller reported her son’s cell phone was taken during the dance at Circleville High School. A report was taken on theft.

– Officers performed a well-being check in the 100 block of Parklawn Drive after a resident reported her elderly mother said a male subject kept knocking on her door. The mother checked OK and was transported to the daughter’s residence for the evening.

– A resident in the 100 block of East Mill Street reported her cell phone had been stolen. A report was taken on theft.

– Officers performed a well-being check on juveniles in the 100 block of Rustic Drive. The juveniles checked OK.

– A resident reported children near the fence of the old Atwater Elementary School at Atwater and Sunshine Street. Officers were unable to locate.

– Officers responded to a noise complaint in the 400 block of East Union Street. The subject was advised of the complaint.
