May 26, 2017:

– A clerk at Duke and Duchess on East Main Street reported a customer attempting to pass counterfeit money. A report was taken.

– A caller in the 300 block of Weldon Avenue reported a suspicious male who kept walking up and down the alley. No subjects were located in the area.

– A caller on Eva Drive requested to speak with an officer regarding someone who dropped off her 15-year-old daughter at a gas station due to a misunderstanding and also allegedly cussed at and smacked her daughter. Officers determined the incident happened four hours earlier in Franklin County.

– A caller at the Thirsty Parrot on South Washington Street reported a car parked in the middle of the street. The scene checked OK, and the vehicle was moved.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 200 block of Clark Drive. Officers determined it was accidental.

– A caller on South Pickaway Street reported a child custody issue involving a suspect believed to have an active warrant. A supplemental report was taken.

– Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call in the 500 block of Ridgewood Drive. Officers determined a child accidentally dialed the call.

– A caller from Tractor Supply on U.S. Route 23 reported a male stole something and fled on foot headed toward Rural King. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident came to the police station to report someone was in her home the night before who should not have been there. A report was taken on trespassing.

– A caller on Town Street reported really loud music. Officers were unable to locate any loud music.

– A resident in the 100 block of Lowery Lane reported someone stole items from her vehicle.

– A caller from the Pickaway County Banking Center on South Court Street reported three suspicious males hanging out in the alley between the bank and Gant’s Pizza, and she believed one of them had a knife in his hand. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at First Baptist Church on North Court Street. Officers determined it was accidental.

– A caller in the 100 block of Logan Street reported people were living in tents in the back yard of a residence with two Pit Bulls, and one charged at her child. The caller advised the dog warden was en route, but the dogs’ owner advised the dog was on the leash all day. No report was taken.

– Officers were advised to be on the lookout for a vehicle driving recklessly and possibly involved in a road rage incident on East Main Street. All units were advised.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Speedy Muffler on Kingston Pike. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to an injury accident at Dynahoe on East Main Street. Four subjects reported injuries.

– An officer advised of a property damage accident just east of UDF on East Main Street. The call was handled by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

– A caller reported an orange Jeep was involved in a road rage incident and followed her to her residence and when she went to businesses in town. Information was obtained, and the caller was advised to alert city police or the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office if the vehicle returned.

– A caller on Town Street reported a disturbance between her husband and three individuals who were throwing firecrackers into their trash can and shouting at her husband. A report as taken on felonious assault, and extra patrol was requested.

– A resident in the 200 block of West Ohio Street reported two known subjects were trespassing on her property. A report was taken, and extra patrol was requested.

– A caller at Kroger reported a male subject had stolen chicken and electronics from the store and was last seen headed behind Sutherland’s near Apple Ridge Apartments. A report was taken on theft and assault.

– A caller requested to speak with an officer about a child custody issue. No report was taken, and the subject was advised to contact Ross County regarding child abuse.

– A caller requested to speak with an officer about custody questions. The questions were answered on the civil matter.

– Officers responded to 911 hang-up calls from the Twin Oaks apartment complex on South Court Street in which juveniles kept saying, “Hi,” and hanging up the phone. The subjects were located, and the juveniles were advised.

– A caller in the 100 block of Cottage Hill Lane advised a male subject was looking into the window at her young girls, then took off down the alley toward Huston Street. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A caller in the 700 block of Clinton Street reported a suspicious male walking around, hitting signs and screaming. The officer on the scene requested medical services for a male with altered mental status, and the subject was transported to Berger.

– Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call from Little Bear Market on Harrison Street, in which the caller said she was going to rob the establishment. The scene checked OK.

– A caller in the 500 block of East Main Street reported her vehicle was broken into and items were stolen. A report was taken on theft.

– A caller in the 500 block of East Franklin Street reported an intoxicated male walking around the area. Officers advised the subject checked OK and reported he was homeless.

– A caller in the 300 block of East High Street reported multiple juveniles had attempted to steal his children’s bicycles. Nothing was taken.

– Officers responded to reports of a domestic dispute on Dearborn Avenue. The officer on the scene requested medical services for a female assault victim. A report was taken on domestic violence.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Ohio Heights apartment complex. The scene checked OK and was determined to be accidental by the resident.

– Officers performed a well-being check on a resident on Westwood Drive. The subject checked OK.

May 27, 2017:

– An officer marked in the 500 block of East Main Street to collect fingerprints for a prior theft call.

– An officer was flagged down in the area of Gant’s Pizza on South Court Street regarding the theft of a cell phone. A report was taken.

– A caller reported a transport ambulance was nearly hit head-on by a car driving on the wrong side of the road westbound on Lancaster Pike. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– A caller in the 200 block of Logan Street reported someone had thrown rocks and mud all over her vehicle, and she had filed a report several days earlier for the same thing. She moved her vehicle to the back of her residence, and it was damaged again. A report was taken on vandalism.

– A caller from Dollar General on Lancaster Pike reported a female subject placed bras in her purse and left the store without paying. A report was taken on theft.

– Officers took a report on recovered property after a resident discovered a wallet in the 400 block of Watt Street.

– Officers responded to reports that the telephone box near the storage lockers on Route 56 East had been struck. A report was taken on property damage, and Frontier was notified regarding the damaged phone box.

– Officers were requested to witness charges against a suspect behind detained by the Ohio State Highway Patrol at Auto Zone on West Mound Street.

– Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call from the 200 block of Nicholas Drive. A male subject reported there was a physical altercation at the address. A report was taken on a fight.

– Officers arrested a male subject at Kroger after a caller reported he was trying to fill a forged prescription at the pharmacy and would be returning within minutes. A report was taken on deception to obtain.

– A caller in the 100 block of West Union Street reported he found a set of keys in his front yard during a yard sale but could not find their owner. A report was taken on found property.

– Officers made an arrest during a traffic stop near Maggie & Me on North Court Street.

– A caller in the 200 block of Logan Street reported a 14-year-old male had entered the home screaming at the top of his lungs and slamming doors. The caller then canceled the call, advising everything was OK.

– A caller in the 1000 block of South Washington Street reported three juveniles looking into vehicles, and when confronted about it, the juveniles got mouthy. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A caller reported a possibly intoxicated male behaving erratically, staggering and falling down in the area of the South Court Car Wash. The officer advised the subject possibly had an altered mental status.

– A caller on Walnut Street advised a subject with a possible warrant was in the area. Information was obtained, and officers determined there was no warrant.

– A caller advised of a reckless vehicle following her around town, and the subjects were flipping her off. Information was obtained, and officers determined the license plate did not match the description of the vehicle. The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office was notified that the vehicle was headed toward the Williamsport area.

– A caller on East Union Street reported excessive music coming from the location. The residents were advised to keep the music down.

– A resident came to the police station to turn in a debit card that was left in the ATM at Chase Bank. A report was taken on found property, and the card was returned to its owner.

– Officers responded to a neighbor dispute on East Union Street. Both parties were advised to stay away from each other.

– A caller in the 200 block of Logan Street reported two female juveniles cursing at them while they were sitting on their porch. The call was handled, and the juveniles were advised.

– Officers responded to a domestic dispute on Dunkle Road. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to a juvenile complaint in the 300 block of Walnut Street.

– A caller advised of multiple ATVs going out to a field that extends off Sycamore Drive. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A caller in the 200 block of Parklawn Drive requested to speak with an officer regarding a known subject harassing and threatening her son. Officers determined the incident happened at the fairgrounds, and the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office was advised.

– A caller advised three large dogs were running loose in the 200 block of Logan Street. Information was obtained, and the dog warden was advised.

– A resident in the 200 block of Town Street reported a mysterious bottle sitting on the sidewalk in front of her residence. Officers advised the bottle was just trash, and it was disposed of.

– A caller in the 200 block of South Scioto Street reported four or five subjects in the alley beside the prosecutor’s office were causing a lot of commotion. Officers were unable to locate any disturbance.

– A caller in the 300 block of East High Street reported new information on the location of a bicycle reported stolen several days earlier. A supplemental report was taken.

– A caller reported a subject in a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of South Pickaway Street kept ducking down in the seat and had been there for about an hour. Officers determined the scene checked OK, and the subject was a homeless female sleeping in the car.

May 28, 2017:

– A caller in the 900 block of South Pickaway Street reported the sound of someone rattling gates or slamming dumpster lids in the area of the Lykens plant or storage lockers. Officers were unable to locate any noises or subjects in the area.

– A caller on North Washington Street reported a group of six or seven subjects in the middle of the street yelling and screaming. The scene checked OK, and the subjects were advised to keep the noise down.

– A caller on Hillcrest Drive reported at least two subjects running between houses. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A caller in the 400 block of Half Avenue reported a known subject was intoxicated and vandalizing her vehicle. The subject left prior to the officer’s arrival. A report was taken on criminal damaging.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Launderette on Pontious Lane. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to a parking complaint in the 600 block of East Mound Street.

– Donald E. Spears Jr. was arrested on an outstanding warrant on West Mound at South Scioto Street.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the 1100 block of South Court Street.

– Officers responded to a domestic dispute on Gale Court. A report was taken.

– A resident came to the police station to request an officer speak to her children regarding thieving. The call was handled, and an officer advised the juveniles.

– A caller on Walnut Creek Pike at Sycamore Drive reported individuals fishing in the pond. Information was obtained.

– A caller on Logan Street reported her neighbor was continually harassing her children, calling them names and insulting their intelligence. Both parties were advised to stay away from each other.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Classic Carryout Sunoco on East Main Street. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the area of Cristy’s Pizza on South Court Street. Officers were unable to locate the source of the alarm.

– A caller on Barnes Avenue reported a possible fire at the location with the smell of burning wire. The officer on the scene requested the fire department to put out a bonfire. The subject was advised of trash burning.

– A caller advised of an audible alarm in the area of Lighthouse Baptist Church on South Court Street. Officers determined the alarm was coming from the Circleville Fire Department Station 2, and the fire department was notified.

May 29, 2017:

– A caller from Rooster’s on U.S. Route 23 requested to speak with an officer regarding a theft or scam.

– A caller in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. reported they found a backpack full of car jacks by a truck at the rear of the residence, and they believed someone was attempting to steal the wheels off the truck. The caller also advised the subjects attempted to steal a radio from inside the truck.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to an activated panic alarm at CashLand on Lancaster Pike. The scene checked OK.

– A caller in the 1000 block of South Washington Street reported two male subjects threatened to break their windows and called her children slurs. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call on Lewis Road in which the caller was reportedly out of breath and stated he needed police. Officers took a report on a dispute.

– A caller in the 1000 block of South Washington Street reported two boys were back making threats. The caller had questions that were answered by the officer.

– A caller reported a small animal was struck in the roadway on Georgia Road and appeared to still be alive. Officers determined the cat was OK.

– A resident came to the police station to speak with an officer regarding warrants on a female currently at Berger Hospital. No report was taken, as the resident did not know the name of the female subject.

– A caller from Ace Hardware on North Court Street reported a theft in progress involving a male who stole a power and hedge trimmer then fled in a vehicle toward Atwater Avenue. A report was taken on theft.

– A caller in the 300 block of Walnut Street reported his phone had been stolen. The call was canceled by the caller.

– The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office advised of reports of smoke in the area of Mary Virginia Crites-Hannan Park on Pontious Road. Officers were unable to locate any smoke.

– A caller from Cristy’s Pizza on South Court Street reported a disturbance involving a delivery man and a customer. The officer advised it was a civil matter.

– Officers assisted the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office with reports of a suspicious male at Dollar Tree on Circleville Plaza Drive who was pacing back and forth, shouting profanities. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A caller in the 300 block of Cedar Heights reported a prowler outside her residence, pounding on her door and screaming. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A caller on Logan Street requested an officer regarding her children stealing alcohol. Officers determined the incident occurred in the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction.

– Officers performed a stand-by in the 200 block of Lewis Road as a female retrieved her belongings from a residence.

– A caller on Logan Street advised they have been having trouble with a neighbor vandalizing their vehicles, and they had just seen the neighbor in the yard roaming around before hearing glass breaking in the alley. No report was taken.
