Rebecca Ann Tosca, 87, of Ashville, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015, at Mount Carmel West in Columbus.

She was born on Aug. 27, 1927, in South Bloomfield, to the late Edward and Sallie (Welch) Roese.

She was a graduate of Ashville-Harrison High School Class of 1945, which would have been her 70th class reunion.

Becky retired from the Ashville Savings Bank after many years. She also sold Avon for over 40 years. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church and a Pythian Sister of Temple 366 in Ashville.

Becky loved tending to her flowers and working in the yard. Each year she would host all of the family at her house for the annual 4th of July celebration.

She was preceded in death by son, Gary Lee Tosca, on Jan. 11, 2015; sisters, D. Helen Roese, Lucille Roese, Georgia Graham, Martha Huston Cline and Pauline Roese; niece, Joann Graham; great-niece, Betsy Nicholson; and great-nephew, Dustin Roese.

She is survived by daughter, Sally (George) Reid of Grove City; son, Edward Q. Tosca of Los Angeles, California; brother, Barney (Kate) Roese of South Bloomfield; nieces and nephews, Mona Lee (Jerry) Trego, Judy (Larry) Beard, David Roese, Bruce (Terry) Roese, Keith (Rita) Roese, R.D. Roese, Nancy (Bill) Edwards, Sandra (Larry) Carnes, Tim (P.J.) Tosca, Patty Roby Bodie, Karen Wells, Mike (Mary) Lombardo and Joe (Julie) Lombardo; brother-in-law, Harold Tosca; sister-in-law, Joan Roby; numerous great- and great-great-nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2015, in the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville, with Rev. Joe Wolf officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to service on Wednesday.

Family request in lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to a charity of choice.
