Dear Editor:

A critically important issue that voters will decide May 2 is the Paint Valley Mental Health & Prevention Levy. Children and families in our communities need the levy in times of crisis, when they have no other counseling or treatment options and no other places to turn.

This levy is a top law enforcement priority. Serving all residents in a five-county district including Fayette, Highland, Pickaway, Pike and Ross Counties, the Paint Valley Mental Health & Prevention Levy ensures a safety net of mental health and counseling services available to working families who cannot afford the treatment.

Sheriff’s deputies are on the front lines, and we see the impact drug abuse has on our communities. We see the trauma the families and children live through, which is why I support the mental health, counseling and prevention services provided by the Paint Valley Mental Health & Prevention Levy.

For only $3 a month, we can make a positive impact in our communities and take care of families and children who deserve the prevention and counseling services.

On May 2–and by absentee votes–we are asking for your support of these essential services. Vote FOR the Paint Valley Mental Health & Prevention Levy.

Thank you for your consideration and support.

Sincerely,

Robert B. Radcliff
Pickaway County Sheriff
