Walnut students chosen as December Students of the Month

At Walnut Elementary School, a student from each homeroom is chosen as the “Student of the Month” by the staff members at Walnut.

The students are recognized for improvement in grades or good grades, good attendance or improvement in attendance, character, behavior, attitude toward others/learning, good citizenship or improvement in citizenship, classroom participation, demonstrating responsibility and/or respectful to peers and teachers.

Walnut Elementary is also working with Pickaway County Dog Shelter to help find homes for their dogs. The students are pictured with Maria Bennett and Marc Rogols from the dog shelter, along with Paige and Piper, December “Dogs of the Month” who are currently available for adoption.

December “Students of the Month” are Allie Downing, Canaan Fannin and Luke Crosby, kindergarten; Shyann Minier, Elise Krouse and Luke McAlister, first grade; Allison Dean, Ada Rohner and Jersey Jackson, second grade; Westin Woodrum, Camille Myers and Ensly Cleavenger, third grade;Abigail Blake, Chase Liddell and Tucker Woods, fourth grade; and Jonathon Watkins, Trace Crosby and Karley Richards, fifth grade.
