March 27

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Tractor Supply on U.S. Route 23. The scene checked OK.

– A 911 caller reported a suspicious male in the parking lot at Speedway in South Bloomfield. The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office was advised and handled the scene.

– A resident in the 100 block of Park Place reported someone had spray-painted his vehicle. A report was taken on vandalism.

– Officers responded to an ATM burglary alarm activation at The Savings Bank on North Court Street. The scene checked OK.

– Billie Joe Thompson of Circleville turned herself in at the police station on a felony warrant.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 500 block of Victor Drive, but the call was canceled by the alarm company.

– A resident in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. reported he attempted to file his taxes but someone else had already filed using his name and Social Security number. A report was taken on theft.

– Officers responded to a hold-up alarm at the Fast Lane Marathon station on East Main Street. Officers determined it was accidental by an employee, and the scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 200 block of Clark Drive reported seeing a male carrying several items through the field at the rear of the dorms at Ohio Christian University, then dropped them once he saw the caller. The resident called back a short time later to reported the male returned, gathered the items he dropped, placed them in a cart and was walking toward the rear of the 300 block of Pontious Lane. A maintenance man from Sheffield at Sylvan advised the items the male had were from a dumpster and it was OK that time but to advise the male not to do it again. The male was advised.

– A caller from a doctor’s office in the 1100 block of North Court Street reported a male patient in the office stating his prescription medication was stolen, but he was making odd comments about weapons. An officer completed a stand-by while the patient received his refill.

– A resident in the 300 block of Meadow Drive reported a known subject kept calling her and harassing her for money. The officer advised it was a civil issue, and the subject would be advised to have no further contact with the caller.

– An officer requested a report for theft from the elderly in the 300 block of East Franklin Street.

– A caller came to the police station to report someone had been stealing her father-in-law’s prescription medication. A report was taken.

– An employee at PNC Bank on East Main Street reported a male in a hoodie outside the bank looking down into the stairwell. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked in front of the shelter houses at Ted Lewis Park, and she feared it may be drug-related. Officers reported the subjects checked OK and were just waiting for someone, but they left the area voluntarily.

– Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 200 block of Logan Street.

– A resident in the 400 block of Lancaster Pike reported a male in the parking lot of Appleridge Apartments trying to break into a car or steal it. Officers made contact with the owner, and the scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 500 block of East Union Street reported there was a fight at her residence and her daughter had been assaulted. A male subject left the area, and officers determined there was no assault. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– An employee from Carnival Foods reported a known subject had just stolen something from the store and assaulted an employee. The employee declined medical treatment, and a report was taken on theft and assault.

– Ashley Carr and Angel Hickey were arrested in the 100 block of East Mill Street after Hickey called to report her sister had assaulted her and left to go to Berger. A report was taken on domestic violence.

– A resident in the 400 block of Clinton Street reported via 911 her 13-year-old child was being unruly and kicking things around the house. The juvenile was advised of his conduct. The resident later called 911 again to report the juvenile was still being unruly. She was advised of the proper use of 911, and unruly charges were filed.

– An employee at Rooster’s on U.S. Route 23 reported a customer’s vehicle was vandalized in the parking lot. A report was taken on criminal damaging.

– A resident in the 100 block of South Western Avenue reported her ex-boyfriend had thrown a piece of concrete through her bedroom window. Extra patrol was requested, and a report was taken on criminal damaging.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Tractor Supply on U.S. Route 23. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported a car was possibly struck in the ditch at the back of the Fast Lane Marathon station on East Main Street. The owner of the car could not be located.

– A caller in the 900 block of Clinton Street reported his wife had locked him out of the residence and his children were inside and he reportedly could see her hiding drugs inside the home. He called back a second time to report the wife’s boyfriend had left the residence on foot and had all the drugs and paraphernalia with him. The caller left the scene and said he would request a stand-by in the morning. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

March 28

– Kendell L. Kirby was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on South Washington south of Town Street.

– Krystal D. White was arrested for OVI and possession following a traffic stop at Northridge Road and DuPont Drive.

– The Circleville Fire Department was requested as mutual aid for a structure fire on Ringgold Northern Road outside the city limits.

– A caller reported seeing a woman panhandling in the parking lot at Carnival Foods on Morris Road. Information was obtained, and officers were advised to be on the lookout.

– An officer was requested in the 900 block of Clinton Street by a resident who said her estranged husband was there with his family to pick up the children and were causing problems. The subject left the scene.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Duke and Duchess station on East Main Street. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported a lot of smoke coming from a mulch pile behind the YMCA on Nicholas Drive. The fire department handled the scene.

– A resident in the 100 block of Mingo Street reported someone had egged his car again.

– A resident in the 300 block of Logan Street reported he found a syringe in his yard. Officers located and disposed of the item.

– A caller reported a female in a black pickup truck who appeared to be falling over behind the wheel near the UDF store on East Main Street. Officers were unable to locate.

– Officers responded to reports of an overdose in the parking lot at Big Lots on Lancaster Pike. Two subjects were transported to the hospital.

– A resident in the 200 block of Logan Street reported the neighbor who lives behind him allows their dog to run loose, and it just tried to attack his dog. The owner of the other canine was advised to keep the dog on a leash while it is outside.

– A caller reported there were a pit bull and a beagle running loose in the area of PICCA on East Ohio Street, and he and another person were able to contain the dogs at the rear of the building. The dog warden was advised.

– A resident in the 1100 block of Atwater Avenue reported children throwing balls against her residence and the parents being belligerent when she tried to speak with them. The officer advised there was no dispute, it was more of a misunderstanding. All parties were advised.

– A resident in the 200 block of West Mound Street reported a known subject was in the alley behind the residence tampering with the neighbor’s electrical box. The male was located and advised he did not tamper with the box, and it did not appear to be tampered with. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported a suspicious car had just left the parking lot at the YMCA. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate.

– Christopher L. Donaldson and Anita Leach were arrested in the 200 block of Lewis Road after Leach called to report her boyfriend had been breaking her things and beating her up. Officers requested a squad for the male, and a report was taken for domestic violence.

– A resident in the 600 block of Fairlawn Drive requested extra patrol after discovering someone had attempted to gain access to both of her vehicles in the driveway.

March 29

– Officers responded to reports of a fight in the parking lot at Chase Bank on East Main Street. Officers advised the male was intoxicated, and a female was trying to get him into a vehicle to take him home.

– An anonymous caller reported a suspicious male at the Speedway on North Court Street. The male was advised to leave the business. A short time later, Shannon Schwalbauch was arrested for theft following a traffic stop in the 100 block of West Main Street, and he was reportedly identified as the suspicious male at the Speedway store, accused of stealing a pair of sunglasses and ear buds.

– Charles F. Carey Jr. was arrested for an outstanding warrant and drug paraphernalia, and Anita Doty was arrested for drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at North Scioto and West High streets.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Liberty Pawn Shop on West Main Street. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of North Scioto Street. The vehicle was pulling away upon officer’s arrival. The scene checked OK.

– Extra patrol was requested in the 500 block of Spring Hollow Road after a resident reported her car had been keyed, and it wasn’t the first time it happened.

– Rocky Gilpen was arrested at Walmart on U.S. Route 23 following a traffic stop by the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.

– A resident in the 100 block of York Street reported her 13-year-old daughter was being unruly and would not get into her vehicle. The caller advised the child finally did get into the vehicle, and they were on their way.

– A caller reported a rental property had been broken into in the 100 block of Edison Avenue and a dump trailer had been taken from the yard. The trailer was entered into LEADS, and a report was taken on breaking and entering.

– A resident in the 500 block of East Union Street requested to speak to an officer regarding a neighbor yelling at her children and regarding the landlord not giving approval to have water service turned on.

– A resident in the 200 block of Walnut Street reported finding a cat that appeared to have had its ears set on fire. The officer advised the cat was not burned but did have a small cut on its ear. The resident was referred to the Humane Society.

– A resident in the 800 block of South Court Street reported someone had stolen his grill. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 1200 block of Dunhurst Street reported someone had struck her vehicle causing damage, but she did not know where the incident occurred.

– A resident in the 200 block of Meadow Drive reported a neighbor was driving recklessly and at a high rate of speed up and down the roadway on a daily basis. The neighbor advised he was not racing. He was advised of the complaint and of his driving habits.

– The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported a male advised he had just done a custody exchange for his child in front of the police department, and the mother did not secure the child in the vehicle. All units were advised.

– A resident in the 900 block of South Court Street reported someone had stolen a shotgun from him. The caller advised he would locate a serial number for the firearm and call back. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 300 block of South Scioto Street reported a known male subject was harassing him. The subject was advised not to return to the property.

– Officers responded to reports of a disturbance in the 300 block of Watt Street. The officer advised the parents were having a discussion with a 10-year-old, and the scene checked OK.

– An employee at Berger Hospital reported a prescription that had possibly been altered and filled at a local pharmacy. A report was taken on deception to obtain.

– A caller reported her vehicle had been struck by another vehicle that left the scene in the 1100 block of Atwater Avenue. The caller advised she would make contact with the other party the next day due to very minor cosmetic damage.

– A resident in the 600 block of Clinton Street reported his neighbor was drunk and trying to get into his house. The male left the area prior to the officer’s arrival. The officer searched the area on foot but could not find the male, and the resident refused to file charges. A report was taken on burglary.
