Jack and Goldie Stewart

Goldie May Stewart, of Kingston, died 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Signature Health Care.

She was born April 26 in Akron to the late Leo and Marquerite C. Felker Leasure.

Surviving are children, Jacqueline Gail Stewart of New Plymouth, Keith (Marsha) Stewart and Susan Lynn Stewart, both of Kingston; grandchildren, Lisa (Tim) Rider, Michael Chaney and companion, Casey Letterman, Arissa Adams, Jessica, Katherine, and Kassandra Stewart; a brother, John Leasure of Oldtown, Maryland; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Marge Waddick of Chillicothe; and best friend, Betty Reutinger of Kingston.

She was predeceased by her former husband (love of her life), Dr. Jack Stewart; a sister, Ruth Benson; brothers, Leo and Leonard Leasure; and many good friends she has joined in heaven.

Goldie was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union, Kingston. She enjoyed bowling and liked to play bingo, garden, crochet and work on crossword puzzles.

The family would like to give special thanks to home health aide and friend, Mary Harrison, and bath aides, Hannah Howard and Samantha Ritchie. Special thanks to her ex-son-in-law, Marcus Adams.

Graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2016, in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Pastor James Pollard officiating. A celebration of life will follow at the Kingston Church of Christ in Christian Union. There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Ware Funeral Home, 121 W. Second St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
