George E. Schultz

George Edwin Schultz, 91, of Londonderry, passed away on Oct. 24, 2015, at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center following a long illness.

He was born on July 7, 1924, in Milton, West Virginia, son of the late Orville and Selvia Schultz.

He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Bobby Lee and Patricia Schultz; and late wife, Jean Knight.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (McWhorter) Schultz; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Lisa Schultz of Puyallup, Washington; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Al Griggs of Lubbock, Texas, and Lisa and K.T. Taylor of Kingston; eight grandchildren, Gretchen, Jennifer, Kathyrn, Jonathan, Stephanie, Joseph, Jason and Tanner; seven great-grandchildren, Matthew, Austin, Peyton, Paxton, Natalie, Espyn and Taya; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

George was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was also a life member of the DAV. He retired from Arizona Public Service after 35 years.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends, football and anything outdoors on the farm. He loved the Lord and lived his life in a manner that God shall say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015, at the Londonderry Cemetery, Londonderry, with Pastor John Nunley officiating. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in George’s name to the Kingston Community Church, Kingston, Ohio.
