Pastor Edward T. Montgomery
Pastor Edward T. Montgomery, 89, of Chillicothe, OH, passed away 1:30 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017 at his daughter’s residence. Ed was pastor of Bible Baptist Community Church for many years.
He was born May 30, 1928, in Ross County, OH, to the late Lunda and Ida May Jenkins Montgomery. On June 14, 1947, he married his wife of 69 years, Ruth Dawn Montgomery, deceased.
Surviving are a daughter, Sally Dawn (Randy) Mace; daughters-in-law, Sheila Montgomery and Barbara Montgomery; grandchildren, David (Kim Lackey) Adams, Traci (Jim) Tunison, Gerald Steedley and Jimmy Caudill; great grandchildren, Avery Adams, Janey and Cole Steedley, Mackenzie Storts, Caden Immel and Hadley Tunison; sisters, Lucille (Carl) Carroll, Thelma Johnson, Christine Chaney and Irene Price. He was predeceased by children Scott and Kent Montgomery and Roxane Harris; brothers, Hasadore, Richard and Everett (Bud) Montgomery; and sisters, Ivia Rogers, Belva Hamilton, Elva Lewis, Rose Fry and Jean Francis.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday August 22, 2017 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jeff Blakeman officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.
