OHSAA Has Approved a Shortened 2020 High School Football Schedule

OHIO – Following a recommendation that was handed down from Gov. Dewines office to shorten the season due to COVID-19 concerns the Ohio High School Athletics Association announced they are recommending a six game season.



All teams will begin season on August 24th, all teams eligible to enter the OHSAA playoffs, all team will enter playoffs on October 9th and state championship games will be played no later than November 21st.

The Harbin Rating System will not be used this year, which gives schools maximum flexibility when reā€scheduling games since all schools will have the opportunity to enter the playoffs.



A decision to let spectators at contact sports has yet to be made, but according to the group parents at least should be able to play.
