OHIO – As Ohio waits to hear Governor Mike DeWine’s detailed plans to begin lifting stay-at-home restrictions, a new statewide poll shows that 70% of Ohioans prioritize public health over the economy.
According to the poll done by The Baldwin Wallace University Ohio 85% of voters in Ohio approve of DeWine’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
8 in 10 people believe Dewine “acted at the appropriate time,” in handling of the COVID-19 epidemic.
90% of Americans trust Dewine to give them accurate information on the pandemic, along with Dr. Amy Acton.
9 in 10 people supported Dewines restrictions imposted during the COVID-19 crisis, including the stay-at-home orders.
Half of the people agree with Dewine’s plan to reopen the economy starting May 1. People are still fearful of opening too fast feeling that cases will spike and believe not all businesses and places of worship should reopen.
80% of people have felt anxiety about the pandemic, half feel concerned about spreading the virus and a majority think at this time the US healthcare can handle it.
94% of people are concerned about the effect the pandemic has on the economy.
