Lancaster Woman Arrested in Lancaster with Nationwide Felony Warrant for Engaging in Corrupt Activity

LANCASTER – A woman was arrested at her residence after a nationwide felony warrant for her arrest was issued in Athens County by the Major Crimes Unit (MCU).

The warrant was issued with 4 felony charges, one count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, one count of having weapons while under disability, one count of money laundering, and one count of obstructing justice.

Morris was located at her residence, 6887 Alpspach Road NW Lancaster Ohio and two other people were detained at the time.  Search of the residence recovered over 40 items of evidence relating to the trafficking of illegal drugs.  The items included a quarter pound of of heroin, a quarter pound of suspected methamphetamine or ICE, 12,000 dollars in cash, digital scales, packing materials, and two handguns were recovered.

Morris is currently being detained at Fairfield County Jail and will appear for a hearing in Athens County on a later date.  The other two people were released and not charged.

According to Athens Major Crimes Unit this arrest and search comes as part of a length and unfinished investigation.  The investigation has documented the transportation of illegal drugs to Ohio and into Athens and surrounding counties.  Morris’s arrest was due to an ongoing investation by MCU and the Athens County Prosecution Office.
