LANCASTER – Lancaster Mayor reminds the city that blowing grass into the road could result in criminal action.

In Lancaster a codified ordinance actually makes it illegal to blow grass into the street and can result in a misdemeanor offense.

The mayor when reminding people said, “Everyone likes a beautiful, manicured lawn, but grass and leaves blown onto the street causes a number of problems. It is extremely hazardous to bicyclists and motorcyclists and can clog storm drains and sewers, resulting in neighborhood flooding.”
