USA – A new study done on almost a half a million people says that not only are soft drinks bad for your teeth but can lead to death.

A study in published in Europe on the heath effects on pop consumption was published on the American Medical Association Journal this week.

The researchers were studying if pop is associated with “greater risk of all-cause and cause-specific mortality.” The answer to that study is yes.

A higher rate of mortality was found among people who consume more than two or more glasses of sugar-sweetened pop every day. With higher factors of Parkinsons disease, digestive issues, circulatory diseases.

“Consumption of artificially sweetened soft drinks was positively associated with deaths from circulatory diseases, and sugar-sweetened soft drinks were associated with deaths from digestive diseases.”

“This study found that consumption of total, sugar-sweetened, and artificially sweetened soft drinks was positively associated with all-cause deaths in this large European cohort; the results are supportive of public health campaigns aimed at limiting the consumption of soft drinks.”
