Hocking County OH- Animal Cruelty Complaint Results in Health Department Condemning Home and Felony Charges

Hocking County OH- On October 28th, 2020 the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of animal cruelty at a SR 328 residence and began an investigation with the assistance of the Hocking County Humane Officer and the Hocking County Health Department.

A search warrant for the residence was executed on October 30th. 3 dogs and a cat were seized from the residence. Due to the conditions of the residence, the Health Department condemned the residence. A request for charges for felony Cruelty to Animals was forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for grand jury consideration.October 30, .
