Head-on Injury Crash in Ross County Sends One to Hosptial

Chillicothe – The Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two vehicle injury crash, which occurred on Alma-Omega Road (TR-298), east of US-23, in Ross County on February 24, 2021 at approximately 7:55 a.m.


A 2012 Chevy Silverado, driven by Gregory Corcoran, 35, of Chillicothe, Ohio, was negotiating a curve eastbound on Alma-Omega Road when he failed to yield half the roadway striking a 2012 Ford Taurus, traveling westbound, driven by Ashely Pennington, 32, of Chillicothe, Ohio.


Mr. Corcoran was treated and released on scene by Franklin Township EMS, for non -life threatening injuries. Ms. Pennington was transported to the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe by Huntington Township EMS, with non-life threatening injuries.


The Ohio State Patrol was assisted on the scene by Franklin Township and Huntington Township EMS. Alma-Omega Road was closed for approximately 90 minutes.

The crash remains under investigation.
