Governor Dewine Asks Ohioans to Stay Home During Highest Wave in Cases

OHIO – Dewine says that he wants Ohioans to take the pandemic serious, and wants to ask more people to stay home.

Dewine is asking for people, who can work from home to continue to work from home, he also said that the state will extend leave on state employees that were planning on coming back to work in January.

The Governor said that he wants people to pull back and limit your activities, saying, “there is a cause and effect to what we do.”

Pickaway numbers are at a all time high today numbers never reported before for the COVID-19 active cases in the area.

According to Pickaway Public Health as of 3:00 p.m. today, Monday, November 30, 2020 there is a total of 398,371 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ohio and 6,009 deaths. Currently there are 4,120 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Pickaway County, 2,401 being inmates, leaving 1,719 local residents who have tested positive. There are 280 active local resident cases with 20 hospitalized. There are a total of 57 deaths, 37 being inmates and 20 community deaths.
