Drunk Driver Crashes into State Trooper

Delaware County – A woman is facing charges after operating a motor vehicle under the influence and crashing into a car on Polaris Parkway in Columbus.

On Saturday, July 6, at 2:34 a.m., a Ohio State Troopers was struck by an impaired driver traveling the wrong way on Polaris Parkway. Police have reported everyone was ok in the incident, but Michelle Miller 43, of Ostrander was arrested and charged with OVI, Distracted Driving, and Traveling on Wrong side of a Divided Highway.

In the video you can see the officer who had stopped in the roadway flashing his lights at the on coming car.  Miller looks to turn at the last minute hitting the curb and then the officers car.

State Highway Patrol wants to remind everyone that Impaired driving crashes are 100% preventable. Remember, if you drink, don’t drive.
