Haven House has outgrown its current location located in the back of the PICCA location on East Ohio Street, and will now move to a new location on 111 Island Road.  The new housing location will house 32 adults, and will offer a better floor-plan.  “We have people who stay one night up to years.  Its all depending on the situation, the average stay is about 3 months, said Lisa Johnson Haven House Manager.

The new facility has been equipped with family style bathrooms that will give moms the ability to take care of her kiddos a lot easier, a updated laundry facility, a new kitchen, and kids play areas to help families deal with the transition.  The center also will be able to offer classes in a new classroom on site, along with the counseling, case management, and support groups they normally offered, all free of charge.
