City Council Approves the Purchase of New Life Saving Devices for Circleville Fire Department

CIRCLEVILLE – During the city council on March 20, 2018 located at 127 South Court Street in Circleville.  City Council voted unanimously on a ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Safety to Advertise for Bids for the purchase of two new defibrillators to replace old equipment and to purchase some new technology equipment two Chest Compression devices.

The New Chest Compression devices are automated machines when applied to a patient the machine delivers consistent chest compressions to the patient.  This not only gives a constant uninterrupted form of chest compression, it also frees up the rescuer to focus on other life saving techniques without being fatigued from constant compressions.

Circleville Fire Department said,”One of the defibrillators they are replacing is from 1985.”
