CIRCLEVILLE – Pickaway County Sheriff said that the main line to the sheriff went down around 8 pm , and calls are being transferred to Circleville Dispatch Department.
This happens within 24 hours after Circleville Council had talks of closing Circleville Dispatch and Pickaway County taking over dispatch for the city.
According to Circleville Police, “At this time the Circleville Police Department is handling 911 and non-emergency inbound phone calls for the Pickaway County Sheriffs Office at their request due to their phone lines being down.”
Update: Lines are back up and according to Pickaway Sheriffs office the lines were down for a Frontier issue. This has been the constant issue over the last year. Sadly Frontier this year also went into bankruptcy and may not fix issues any time soon.
