CIRCLEVILLE, OH — Get ready for a new dessert destination in town! Whit’s Frozen Custard will officially open its doors in Circleville on Friday, June 13 at 11 a.m., inviting the community to indulge in its rich and creamy frozen treats just in time for summer.
The new Whit’s location is situated at 910 Stoutsville Pike, directly across from the Pickaway County Fairgrounds. Owned and operated by R&R Partners LLC — a local team made up of Dom and Lisa Russo, and Tony and Lora Rowe — the Circleville shop marks the newest expansion for the beloved Ohio-based custard franchise.
Whit’s Frozen Custard has a strong legacy of success, starting from its humble beginnings in Granville, Ohio in 2003. Despite opening in the middle of winter and facing early skepticism, the brand quickly won over customers with its dedication to quality and tradition.

Known for its simple ingredients — cream, eggs, and sugar — Whit’s creates a smoother, denser dessert by minimizing air in the churning process and serving it at a warmer temperature than traditional ice cream. The result is a custard that’s rich in flavor and texture.
Frozen custard’s roots trace back to the early 20th century, with its popularity exploding after a showcase at the 1933 World’s Fair in Chicago. Today, Whit’s continues to honor that legacy by offering a nostalgic yet timeless treat to customers across Ohio and beyond.
The Circleville community is already buzzing with excitement over the grand opening, which is expected to draw crowds looking to beat the heat and welcome a new local favorite.
