West Virginia Woman Arrested After Alleged Assassination Threats To President Trump

JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. — A Ripley woman has been taken into custody following an investigation into alleged threats made on social media involving the assassination of former President Donald Trump, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s officials said Morgan L. Morrow, 39, was detained and arrested after an evening investigation conducted by Jackson County deputies in coordination with the Jackson County Bureau of Investigations. Authorities allege Morrow used social media to recruit individuals to pursue and carry out an assassination.

Morrow was transported to the South Central Regional Jail and is charged with one count of terroristic threats. Investigators emphasized that the case is an active criminal investigation and that additional details will be released as facts are confirmed and the inquiry continues.

Law enforcement officials stressed that the arrest is not politically motivated but is based on what they described as documented and credible concerns related to public safety.
