CHILLICOTHE — A UPS driver is facing multiple citations after allegedly running a red light and fleeing the scene of a crash Monday evening on North Bridge Street.
According to Chillicothe Police, officers were dispatched around 8 p.m. on December 8, 2025, to the area in front of Arby’s at 1082 N. Bridge Street for a reported two-vehicle crash.
When officers arrived, they spoke with the driver of a black Kia, identified as Gary Long, who said he was crossing Bridge Street toward Gabe’s with a green light when a UPS truck struck the front of his vehicle and continued northbound without stopping.
Police later located the UPS truck at the UPS Hub at 1536 N. Bridge Street. The vehicle had damage consistent with Long’s account of the crash. Two independent witnesses confirmed that the UPS truck ran the red light and provided written statements.
Officers identified the driver as Christopher Addison, who told police he believed he had been hit while driving through the intersection. Officers also reported that Addison showed signs of alcohol impairment.
Addison was issued two citations — one for running a red light and another for failure to stop after an accident. He is scheduled to appear in Chillicothe Municipal Court on December 19, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
No injuries were immediately reported.
